Vanessa Bowling is an incoming graduate student at the University of Baltimore, and a graduate of Morgan State University. While at Morgan State, she served as the President of the gay/straight alliance, Rainbow Soul, for three years. Under her supervision, she helped establish the annual LGBT Awareness Week, Pride and Soul Week, and increased the acceptance of the African American LGBT community on campus. Vanessa also has spoken on panels, at rallies, press conferences and has testified for marriage equality in both the house of delegates and senate for the State of Maryland. Upon graduation, Vanessa had received numerous awards for her work on campus, including Resident Assistant of the Year, Outstanding Junior Woman of the Year, and the prestigious Rainbow Soul Outstanding Leadership Award.
Isaiah Jones hails from Portland Oregon and is a graduating senior at Morgan State University. He is a psychology major and has plans to be a counselor, motivational speaker, and researcher. With his career he aims to help individuals reach their full potential and serve as a catalyst for change when it comes to the treatment and rights of LGBT individuals.
