Matthew Thorn is a leading fundraising and non-profit management professional who has worked with the homeless, the developmentally disabled, and the lesbian, gay and transgender community for the last decade. In addition, he has done fundraising for the election campaigns of numerous local, state and federal candidates. He sits on a variety of State and National Boards of Directors, and currently serves as President of PFLAG Howard County. Matt is a partner at Beyond the Hill Strategies, a progressive communications, marketing and fundraising consulting firm.
Judy Gaver has been an active member of PFLAG since 2001, after learning that her oldest son was gay. At PFLAG she found educational resources, along with support from other parents of LGBTQ children. Judy now facilitates the PFLAG “Parents’ Forum” in Howard County, which meets monthly for parents and caregivers of LGBTQ children of all ages. She has been a panel member for many PFLAG presentations to various companies and organizations. Judy works for the Circuit Court as a Caseworker for the Community Service Program.
