Rev. Jill McCrory, an ordained Baptist minister, is the co-chair of Maryland Faith For Equality and is the Chair of the Association of Welcoming and Affirming Baptists. She is active in the DC Metro region working with Baptist churches and leaders and is an advocate for equality and justice for LGBT Marylanders and their families. She has participated in the HRC Clergy Call for Justice, the Capital Pride parade and Festival, the DC Equality March, Equality Maryland Lobby Days, and has testified on bills before both the Maryland and DC legislatures on equal marriage. She has served at a variety of churches including Minister of Outreach for Washington Plaza Baptist Church in Reston, VA, Associate Minister at Luther Rice Memorial Baptist Church in Silver Spring, MD, and most recently as Intentional Interim Pastor at Open Door MCC in Boyds, MD. She was honored as a Capital Pride Home Town Hero in 2011. Jill is the president of Spiritual Outfitters, providing guidance, workshops, and coaching in leadership, spirituality, and justice to faith communities.
Rev. Lisa Ward is a Unitarian Universalist minister serving the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Harford County. In her twenty years in ministry, Rev. Ward has served congregations in New York City, Queens, and White Plains, New York. She has been in Harford County for 13 years with her husband and two children. Rev. Ward is President of the Chesapeake Unitarian Universalist Minister’s Association, covering the greater Washington-Baltimore areas. She also serves on the Board of the Unitarian Universalist Legislative Ministry of Maryland, a state-wide organization, as the lgbt civil rights task force leader. Rev. Lisa co-chairs Maryland Faith For Equality with Rev. Jill McCrory, which is a statewide interfaith organization dedicated to promoting and affirming LGBTQ civil rights. Throughout the past six years, Rev. Lisa has enjoyed advocacy with many coalition partners, including the Human Rights Campaign, Equality Maryland, the ACLU and PFLAG, and is honored to appear on the Black, White and Gay Radio Show.
